About Pedicardio

eLearning in Pediatric Cardiology has been initiated by Children's HeartLink, People4People, and National Board of Examinations of India.

Welcome to our pediatric cardiac care eLearning program, the first of its kind in India! We originally created this eLearning program to help standardize pediatric cardiac fellowship training in India, but we have the bigger aim of improving access to quality pediatric cardiac care globally. The National Board of Examinations of India fully supports and endorses the eLearning program and made participation mandatory for all pediatric cardiac fellows in India.

Brief History

Many practitioners in India identify significant gaps in the learning experience for pediatric cardiology and pediatrics fellows. In 2010, Dr. Sunita Maheshwari from People4People thought that online educational modules supplemented by live training could make a significant difference in pediatric cardiology training. A basic framework and IT platform for this project was developed by Linkstreet and successfully piloted by People4People founder, Dr. Sunita Maheshwari, a pediatric cardiologist in Bangalore, India. Children's HeartLink and the NBE joined Dr. Maheshwari in 2011 to work with them to make the program more comprehensive and more widely accessible to fellows across the country. The NBE fully supports and endorses the eLearning program and had made participation mandatory for all pediatric cardiac fellows in India.
